Technology now is an integral part of our day-to-day lives, and considering its benefaction to profitable growth, the festivity of National Technology Day seems fairly egregious and significant. Pronounced every year on 11 May, the day reminds Indians of the country's technological advances.
The day celebrates not only scientists and masterminds, but anyone who's involved with ideating, instituting, and promoting the dispersion of knowledge and also assuring that its benefits reach the grassroots position.

National Technology Day was first observed on May 11, 1999.
In May 1998, India conducts three nuclear tests in the Pokhran Test range in Rajasthan under the operation Operation Sakthi.
These tests are done by APJ Abdul Kalam and carried out by Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMDER).
Technology Development Board (TDB) has established a public award for promoting the significance of National technology Day.
How is the day celebrated? :-
The government of India commemorates the day by honouring those who have made significant benefactions to the development of new technology.
By recognising the benefactions of scientists and masterminds, the country highlights the significance of knowledge in our lives and how youthful people can consider constructing a career in the field.
The Technological Development Board of the Ministry of Science and Technology honours individualities and groups for their remarkable achievements in the field and bestows medals on them.
The President of India attends the ceremonial organised by the department and presents the awards to enterprises, organisations and individualities for their outstanding benefactions to the field of knowledge and technology. Numerous conferences and events are held each over India so that the entire nation recognises the significance of National Technology Day.
This year the theme of the day is yet to be declared. Still, given the global epidemic, the prize form and meeting is anticipated to be held online.
Significance:-
Every year, Technology Development Board (TDB) seeks employments for National awards for the commercialization of technologies under three categories National Awards, MSME awards, and Startup awards.
These awards are conferred to various industries for the successful commercialization of innovative indigenous technology.
